Are you sold out to know Christ? Before you answer this, Solomon said, “In all of thy getting, get an understanding.” Prov.4: 7
Whether it’s been preached or not, the Apostle Paul said,
“Let us watch and be sober; with godly understanding.”
Therefore, many people attend church, but many are not being taught the principles of the Word of God. In other words, complete salvation is not optional, its God’s mandate to follow on to know the LORD. We are a three-fold being and each part must be saved and delivered!
Salvation is progressive, because God made man [created us] as a three part being, [trichotomy] according to I Thessalonians 5:23,
“And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Your initial salvation is the saving of your spirit; then the soul and body must be saved and delivered as well; this is what I mean by progressive.
In these four books of the Bible, namely James, Peter, Romans and Psalms; we have these witnesses that your soul and body, need deliverance! In addition, Paul says that your spirit, soul and body would be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
In the book of James, he clearly advises that all believers receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls [James 1:21]. These are other scriptures explaining the internal fellowship of the soul, spirit, and body; I Peter 1:22, and Psalms 19:7.
In all of this, we can readily see the miraculous work of the Holy Spirit thus bringing about both reformation and transformation internally into the believer’s spirit, soul and body! As we grow more progressive to be like Christ, we understand the internal fighting and strivings are gradually diminished. Therefore, our Victory in Christ is increasing!
